EDS Publishes an Academic Notice at TÜYAK 2019 Fire Safety Symposium and Exhibition Proceedings Book
The 4th biannual ‘’Exhibition and Symposium on Fire and Safety‘’ held in Istanbul on 4-5 December 2019. The symposium held with the support of international and national institutions and with contributions from domestic/foreign university and company representatives.
EDS Elektronik, General Manager Mr. Osman YILDIZ presented an academic notice about ‘DETERMINATION OF TOXIC AND COMBUSTIBLE GASES ACCORDING TO EN 50545 AT CAR PARKS AND TUNNELS, MEASUREMENT AND APPLICATION NOTES FOR CARBONMONOXIDE AND NITROGEN OXIDE GASES’.
Summary of the academic notice
In indoor parking lots and tunnels, carbon monoxide, nitrogen monoxide and nitrogen dioxide accumulate from the toxic gases due to the exhaust gases of the vehicles. It includes product selection, application notes and explanations according to TS EN 50545 which was approved by Cenelec on 15.8.2011 and accepted by TSE as Turkish standard on 21.02.2012 The accumulated gas is evaluated at three levels according to the threshold values and fresh air jet fans are activated and warned by sound and light warnings. Standard definitions, examination of an addressable system, necessary and sufficient conditions, application examples, human life-threatening levels and effects of toxic gases will be examined.
